Our Story
The Story of BYTE BEGIN Where Every Byte Sparks a Beginning In the heart of MES M.K. Mackar Pillay College, tucked within the buzzing corridors of the Computer Science Department, a spark was ignited . a spark that would soon grow into a movement. It began not with loud fanfare but with an idea, quietly planted in the minds of a few passionate students and faculty members who believed that computer science was more than just lines of code. it was a gateway to innovation, collaboration, and creativity.
From day one, BYTE BEGIN became a space where students could explore tech beyond the classroom. Whether it was organizing their first technical workshop, designing creative posters, or planning college. wide events like Cyber Day and the grand tech-cultural fest NEXORA, the team poured their hearts into it and the impact showed.

BYTE BEGIN was Founded
Launched in 2024 as the official Computer Science Department Association of MES M.K. Mackar Pillay College to empower tech-driven student learning and creativity.
Debut at NEXORA
On February 7, 2025, BYTE BEGIN made a major presence at the college fest NEXORA by hosting events like esports tournaments, tech games, and interactive exhibits.
Cyber Day 2025
Organized an impactful Cyber Day program to raise awareness about cybersecurity and digital ethics among students and staff.
Introducing Git & Hardware
Launched beginner-friendly sessions on Git version control and hands-on hardware experiments to enhance students’ practical tech skills.
Hackathon Vision
Planning to host our first department-level hackathon focused on solving real-world challenges through tech innovations in the near future.
